The major cheerleading competition for Catholic grade schools was held at Cardinal Newman High School on Jan. 24. Finishing first in the Catholic Athletic League Varsity Cheerleading Competition was St. Clare, of North Palm Beach. Rosarian Academy was the runner-up, followed by All Saints, St. Ann, St. Juliana, St. Helen and Sacred Heart.
