Job Summary:
Rosarian Academy seeks a full-time Gifted and Talented Teacher for grades K-4 for the 2019-2020 school year. This employee is responsible for organizing, implementing, and supporting modified instructional strategies to meet the needs of exceptionally talented students in gifted and/or education classes.

Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  1. Planning:
    a. Designing or selecting appropriate instructional modifications for gifted students and coordinating these activities with other teachers as appropriate.
  2. Continuing professional growth through education meetings, visiting related facilities, reading professional literature, and exchanging ideas among the staff.
    c. Working in coordination with other teachers in planning and developing the program.
  3. Programming:
    a. Preparing, implementing, and evaluating an annual educational plan for each student based on individually assessed needs.
    b. Preparing lesson plans for each group of students.
    c. Providing appropriate schedules for exceptional students involving school personnel as required.
    d. Developing and monitoring the modified strategies for the students in coordination with the teachers as appropriate.
    e. Providing direct consultation to teachers on how to implement strategies.
    f. Team teaching with teachers to support gifted students when appropriate.
    g. Participating in the in-school staffing and screening process as appropriate.
    h. Participating on evaluation teams for gifted students as appropriate.
    i. Providing specialized instruction to individual and small groups of gifted students when necessary to support learning the content areas.
    j. Assisting in the selection of books, equipment and other instructional materials.
    k. Taking all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students,materials, equipment and facilities.
    l. Seeking a variety of services through community resources and agencies to meet the needs of gifted students.
  4. Public Relations:
    a.Conferring with education teachers as requested concerning any
    educational needs of students.
    b. Developing and conducting necessary inservice programs to inform education classroom teachers of the goals and objectives of the gifted program where appropriate.
    c. Providing information to community groups, parents, and news media concerning gifted programs as requested or needed and as approved by the immediate supervisor.
    d. Providing specialized instructional techniques through individual or group sessions designed to meet the educational needs of students.
    e. Conferring with other teachers concerning any educational needs of gifted students.
    f. Working to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning the broad academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.
  5. Reporting:
    a. Ensuring that each student in the program has necessary evaluation and consultation records in his/her permanent folder.
    b. Completing progress reports on each student as needed.
    c. Completing report cards.
    d. Referring those students who require further evaluation or follow-up services to the appropriate school personnel.
    e. Documenting ongoing consultation with teachers and maintaining a record of modified instructional strategies and results for each student where appropriate.
    f. Attending and participating in faculty meeting or other meetings as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Valid Florida gifted certification or endorsement, or will meet D.O.E. certification
requirements for out-of-field teachers.

Rosarian Academy seeks a 10 month school nurse for the Rosarian School Community (ages 1 to students in eighth grade) for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Job Description:
The Art Teacher will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Teach knowledge and skills in art, including drawing, painting, lettering, and art history,

Rosarian Academy seeks a full-time Montessori Children’s House Classroom Assistant. The Montessori assistants at Rosarian Academy are guides who help direct his/her students’ activities academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically in a prepared Montessori environment that challenges each child to reach fullest potential in these developmental areas, in accordance with Montessori philosophy and procedures for the age group in which the assistant is placed. The assistant is also responsible for helping to maintain the operation of the classroom in accordance with the Department of Health guidelines and requirements. The Montessori assistant performs his/her services under the direction of the lead teacher and supervision of the Early Childhood Director.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the Lead Teacher in the development, implementation and assessment of a Montessori Learning Environment for 3 – 5 -year-olds
  • Working collaboratively and productively with Lead Teacher and other staff members

Reporting to the Head of School, the Principal will be supportive in the areas of faculty development, curriculum development, and teaching. The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher and successful administrator, preferably in an American-accredited independent school. He/she should demonstrate increasing responsibility and proof of accomplishment in the areas of recruitment and personnel development; curriculum development; teacher/staff evaluation and development; parent and alumni relations; student activities management; and student recruitment. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strives daily to profess the Mission Statement of Rosarian Academy by fostering the school’s philosophy of education, goals, and objectives.
  • Assists the Head of School in overall administration of the school.
  • Serves as administrative head of the school in the absence of the Head of School.
  • Works closely with other members of the administrative team.

  • Rosarian Academy seeks a Head Middle School Girls Lacrosse Coach for the Spring 2019 season.

    The Head Middle School Girls Lacrosse Coach is responsible for teaching, motivating, and inspiring, middle school students in lacrosse. The coach is to be knowledgeable about the cognitive and social-emotional development of female athletes this age and must possess a firm understanding of girls lacrosse and its rules and fundamentals. The coach will be a good role model, positive, collaborative, innovative, and passionate.

    Ideal candidates will possess a background in lacrosse with coaching and/or playing experience at the middle school/high school/club level. The coach must be available Monday through Thursday from 3:15pm – 5:00pm, from February 12th through April 9th.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Exemplify professionalism at all times with students, opponents, officials, parents, faculty, staff and administration.
    • Develops and enhances the qualities of sportsmanship, leadership, loyalty and commitment.

Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, business administration or a related field, or associates degree with five years experience in community relations or related field. Successful completion of Level 1 and 2 Background Screening and VIRTUS Training.

Experience:
Minimum three years experience in event planning and fundraising.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers.
Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
Self-starter with the ability to accomplish projects independently.
