Rosarian Academy seeks part-time after care teachers to supervise young children 1-2 years old. Candidates must be patient and love working with children. Responsibilities include planning activities and games for the after care participants. Hours are 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm M-F. Candidates must have the state required 40 hours, or begin them right away upon employment.

  • Rosarian Academy seeks qualified coaches for boys flag football, boys lacrosse and girls basketball. Interested candidates should have experience in working with middle school age children in a sports environment, as well as a minimum of two years playing and/or coaching the relevant sport.

  • General Summary:

    Provides a comprehensive school counseling program that assists all students in acquiring the skills and knowledge to maximize highest student achievement in a safe learning environment. Responsibilities may vary depending upon the specific work setting and counselor to student ratio and should correspond to the needs and priorities established in the schools and district’s counseling program.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Implements the comprehensive school counseling program
    • Acts as an advocate for all students
    • Works in collaboration with other stakeholders in narrowing the achievement gap
    • Provides professional leadership to establish a culture conducive to learning
    • Counsels individual  and/or  small  groups  of  students  with  academic,  career  and  personal/social concerns
    • Assists students in developing a plan for achieving educational, career and personal/social goals
    • Consults with  a  variety  of  school  based  teams  to  facilitate  appropriate  placement  decisions  to enhance student  achievement
    • Confers with  classroom  teachers,  administration,  support  staff,  community  agencies  and  parents regarding students and their needs
    • Provides support to teachers in the delivery of counseling program related curriculum
    • Coordinates with school and community agencies to broaden students’ resources
    • Seeks resources necessary to achieve school goals
    • Guides  individuals/groups   of  students   through   the   development   of  educational   plans,  career awareness and personal/social growth issues
    • Identifies and disaggregates critical data, such as grades, test scores, attendance, promotion rates,enrollment
    • Uses data to develop strategies to positively impact students
    • Follows the guidelines of the national, state and district standards for professional school counselors
    • Adheres to ethical and legal professional standards
    • Uses appropriate technology for counseling services
    • Performs other related duties, as

     

    Requirements:

    Education:

    • Master’s degree  from  an  accredited  college  or  university  in Counseling
    • State of Florida School Counselor certification or eligibility for Florida State certification

    Experience: 

    • Orientation to and/or experience in a school

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to understand and support the school’s vision, mission and valuesGuida
    • A strong commitment to education and the independent school environment
    • Proficiency with computer software and educational database software
    • Specialized training related to the position
    • Ability to work independently and/or with others
    • Willingness to attend self-improvement and professional workshops
    • Ability to speak, write and read the English language
    • Must be able to pass criminal background check and employment screenings

    Physical:

    • Must be able to stand, stoop, sit, push, pull, climb, lift heavy objects and walk intermittently during the day
    • Must be sighted and capable of hearing or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.

     Working Conditions:

    • Must be able to work in an environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
    • Works primarily in a traditional climate controlled office environment
    • Frequent use of a computer and telephones

  • Rosarian Academy seeks a full-time Science Teacher with demonstrable classroom experience in physics, chemistry, biology and earth science. He or she has the desire to grow in an innovative professional learning community, is enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and is current with best practices. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the academic and social-emotional needs of middle school students in grades 5-8 and demonstrate the ability to teach students who vary in ability and learning styles. Candidates must be willing to collaborate with faculty and families and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the school community. Strong classroom management skills, solid communication, enthusiasm and a growth mindset are a must.

    Qualifications: all applicants must be certified or currently working toward secondary school certification and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field of study. A Master’s degree is preferred. S/he will have at least 3 years of successful teaching experience and will complete Level 1 and 2 background screenings and Virtus training. Additionally, s/he should be able to understand and support Rosarian’s vision, mission and values, understanding the unique nature of a Catholic, Independent school environment.

  • Rosarian Academy seeks substitute teachers for daily instructional needs. This is a per diem position that is required for Early Childhood, Lower and Middle School. Qualifications: A BA degree and experience teaching students in one or more divisions: Early Childhood, Lower School and Middle School. Teaching and or Assistant Teaching experience is preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills as well as a love for working with children or young adults is required.

  • Rosarian Academy seeks a part-time (with the possibility of becoming full-time) Teacher’s Aide in the early elementary level beginning on August 18th, 2017. The Teacher’s Aide, under the supervision of the classroom teacher or division head, performs the necessary duties to assist in the planning and implementation of a program for the regular and special needs of children in the classroom. This person must be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with Rosarian Academy’s educational mission, vision and values.
