This season, the Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach is presenting a Young Concert Artist series at the Rosarian Academy of gifted artists early in their careers, who show promise as major artists of the future. If ThursdayÕs concert is a typical example, we can have high hopes for the future of classical music.
Edgar Moreau, a French cellist who, at 22, has already earned an impressive number of young artist awards in Europe and the United States, and has appeared in many of the worldÕs greatest concert halls. From the first notes, it was evident why Ñ his sound is glorious, his intonation perfect, his phrasing heartfelt. Most importantly, he creates a sound world in which nothing is static Ñ every note leads inexorably to the next, every tone has a purpose. He is our trusted leader on a journey to beauty.
