Day Academy, Rosarian basketball teams start strong

Palm Beach Day Academy and Rosarian Academy’s boys’ middle school basketball tes are playing well early in 2015, but so is the rest of its league, too. The Raiders are 3-2 and the Bulldogs are 2-2, and the ges have all been close and exciting.

In the season-opener, both tes gave their all, but the Raiders triumphed, 23-20. The tes were deadlocked at 11 at the start of the fourth quarter. Rosarian eventually bolted to a six-point advantage, but the Bulldogs, behind treys by Carter Nicoletti and Jes McKenna, pulled the Bulldogs back into the fray.

In the end, though, the Raiders slipped past the Bulldogs, behind Erik Parry, who led the way with nine points for the Raiders; Brian Quinlan added seven. For the Day Academy, Nate Grentine led with six point
