Witches, cats, ghosts, jack-o-lanternsÑall part of the Halloween fun had yesterday at The LordÕs Place Fily Cpus. Rosarian Academy’s National Junior Honor Society students got spooktacularly creative with pumpkin carving and face painting.
28 NJHS members paired up with over 35 children, currently housed by The LordÕs Place, to carve pumpkins, share stories and laugh together. Rosarian 8th grader, Niki White, was also busy painting the childrenÕs faces. Approximately 50 Pumpkins were donated by the Rosarian Academy filies and staff and Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart &p; Shipley, PA.
ÒFilies at The LordÕs Place are in the process of breaking free from the cycle of homelessness, and it was azing to see the joy that the event brought to such disadvantaged children,Ó said Patrick Hansen, Rosarian teacher and NJHS moderator, ÒThe fruit of the Spirit was undeniably present!Ó Several parents and residents of The LordÕs Place had tears in their eyes at the end of the night and were so grateful that the Rosarian students helped make Halloween possible and fun for their children.
