Eizabeth Eubanks, a science teacher at the Palm Beach Maritime Academy in Lantana, who has taken her students on research expeditions to the rain forests of Costa Rica, Hawaii, the Arctic and Alaska, recently was out on the Intracoastal Waterway on a shark-tagging mission.
As part of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute Satellite EARTH progr, Eubanks is on her latest quest to bring real time science into the classroom.
Joining research students from the University of Mii RJ Dunlap Marine Conservation Progr, Eubanks invited a handful of teachers from her school, Pope John Paul II High School in Boca Raton, the Rosarian Academy in West Palm Beach and Pioneer Middle School in Broward County.
