Hailey Albergo of Palm Beach sums up the opportunity to see Pope Francis Thursday in one word: magnificent.
The 13-year-old and a few Rosarian Academy classmates were ong those at 10 a.m. Thursday on the west front lawn of the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., when the pope gave a speech before a joint session of Congress.
Albergo and her classmates were in line at 4 a.m. that day, so she did see the pope enter the Capitol Building, in addition to watching his speech on jumbotron screens.
ÒIt was such a great honor to experience it in person,Ó the eighth-grader said. The pope seemed well-round and kind, she said.
