Eleanor Hall, a fourth-grade student at Rosarian Academy, was the runner-up at a middle school track meet in Martin County recently. What made her accomplishment so noteworthy was the fact she was at least two years younger than most of the participants and up to four years younger than the others.
A native of West Palm Beach, she has been a student at Rosarian since kindergarten and clearly a busy young girl with an eye on the future.
When did you start competing in cross-country?
This is my first year running cross-country at Rosarian. I have also participated in Girls on the Run for the past two years and ran in a few local 5Ks. I find running fun and interesting because it always makes me feel like IÕm doing something good for myself.
WhatÕs ahead for you?
I hope to run in more 5Ks to help support good causes around the area. My next race will be the United Way Turkey Trot on Palm Beach with my family.
