Sophie Fountain brings a deep, personal insight into what makes Rosarian Academy special, having spent her formative years learning and growing at the school alongside her older sisters, Ellie ’09 and Hannah ’07, establishing her Foundation for Life.

As of this summer, Fountain has returned to Rosarian, taking on a new role as the Director of Marketing and Communications. Her new title being a culmination of curricula, experiences, internships, and connections she’s made  along the way, a handful of which began at Rosarian.

After graduating from Rosarian in 2013, Fountain attended Cardinal Newman High School and then pursued a bachelor’s degree in media communications studies and commercial entrepreneurship at Florida State University. Shortly after, she earned her MBA with a concentration in marketing from Rollins College.

She believes her passion for the marketing and communications world was planted during her Rosarian years when she would assist her mom, president of the Rosarian Academy Family Association, in displaying upcoming announcements on the school’s marquee. That passion continued to grow during her time at Cardinal Newman, where she was editor of the school yearbook.

“I’ve learned a ton over the years, but the most important lesson is to surround yourself with people who trust, challenge, and believe in you. They help you move mountains, more than a degree or internship ever could.”

As she looked for the next stepping stone in her career, Fountain had a deep calling to reconnect with Rosarian. She reached out in hopes of assisting in small projects, but Rosarian had other plans.

Head of School, Linda Tretheway, saw Fountain’s potential and was determined to bring her back to the Rosarian community.

Fountain’s return highlights the importance of early connections and the lasting importance of alumni to their alma mater. Her story is a testament to the enduring influence of Rosarian Academy in shaping lives and futures, embodying its mission in creating a Foundation For Life.
