ROSARIAN ACADEMY GRADUATES 33 EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS AT COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY

On Thursday, June 1st, Rosarian Academy graduated 33 eight-grade students in the Rosarian Academy Theater. Sister Donna Baker opened ceremonies with prayer shortly before commencement speaker Deacon Serge Dube encouraged graduates to reflect on their personal development and global awareness during their time at Rosarian Academy. Deacon Serge prompted students to embrace the High School experience with balance and prayer, nurturing the gifts of faith, reason, love and forgiveness. The commencement address closed with a congratulatory blessing for the Class of 2017.

Class President Sofia Mendez reflected on the year while thanking Rosarian faculty and staff and presenting the eighth grade class gift of two red benches to be placed under the oak tree at the new memorial garden in honor of Oakley Debbs.

Charter Club recognition was given to 7 graduates who have been enrolled at Rosarian Academy continuously from the Montessori through eighth grade: Hope Diffenderfer, Aidan Griffiths, John Molina, Matthew Mullen, Drew O’Brien, Jack Shepherd, and Bella Vega-Dadurian. The Kiwanis Club Student of the Year award was given to Class President, Sofia Mendez while Hope Diffenderfer was honored with the 2017 President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence.
