Rosarian Academy Celebrates Excellence in Education By Welcoming New Faculty with Over 100 Years of Combined Teaching Experience

Rosarian Academy is proud to welcome a talented group of new educators to its esteemed faculty, bringing over 100 years of combined teaching experience to the school. As Rosarian Academy approaches its 100th anniversary next year, the ongoing Centennial Campaign celebrates a century of excellence in education.

As part of this initiative, some new faculty members will be stepping into newly created positions in the state-of-the-art Stockard Learning Center classrooms. The addition includes seven early childhood and three kindergarten classrooms, furthering Rosarian’s mission of building Foundations for Life.

Meet the New Educators at Rosarian Academy

Katherine Duvnjak joins Rosarian as a 2nd grade teacher and is also a new parent in the Rosarian community, with her daughter Maggie entering the Junior Toddler House. Katherine brings 13 years of experience as an Elementary School Teacher, with degrees in Elementary Education and Human Development from Boston College, and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education. She has taught from kindergarten through third grade in Boston, New York City, and Florida, most recently at Palm Beach Day Academy. Notably, Katherine’s connection to Rosarian runs deep—her mother attended the Academy when it was an all-girls school.

Gregory Gorney steps into the role of 3rd grade teacher. Previously, Gregory taught 4th grade English and Social Studies at Westgate Elementary School, where he also volunteered at school festivals and founded and coached the flag football program. He is passionate about education and excited to bring his enthusiasm and dedication to Rosarian’s community.

Michael King is joining us as the 7th and 8th grade Religion teacher. Mr. King is an experienced educator and spiritual leader with a rich background in teaching and ministry. He holds a Master’s in Spiritual Theology and Spiritual Formation from Talbot School of Theology, BIOLA University, where he explored themes of addiction and spiritual well-being. Michael has taught at both BIOLA and Vanguard University, and served as a youth pastor, developing discipleship programs that foster strong community ties.

Shiloh Johnson joins Rosarian Academy as the new Guidance Counselor. With over two decades of experience across multiple educational settings—including Eisenhower Elementary School, Hopkins Virtual EDU, and Centennial Middle School—Shiloh has a proven track record of enhancing student and family engagement and implementing effective social-emotional curricula. She looks forward to supporting the academic and personal growth of Rosarian students.

Leslie Malher will take on the role of Early Childhood Coordinator. With a background in policy and research from the World Bank and George Mason University, Leslie brings a unique skill set to Rosarian. She is committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, inspired by her own experience as a parent to her daughter, Eloise.

Colleen McCullagh will serve as the 7th grade Language Arts and History teacher. Originally from Northern Ireland, Colleen holds a Bachelor’s in English and a Master’s in Education from the University of Ulster. She has over 15 years of teaching experience in both middle and high schools across England, Ireland, and the United States, most recently at Saint Stephen of Hungary School in Manhattan.

Adam Stypulkoski will be serving as a kindergarten teacher in one of the new Stockard classrooms. With 24 years of experience, Adam is passionate about fostering positive learning environments. He holds a B.A. in Education and English, and an M.A. in Education and Science. Adam’s teaching journey spans South Florida, Atlanta, and Seattle, with a strong track record of helping students achieve academic success.

Martha Wilding joins as the new lower school Spanish teacher. For the past decade, Martha has taught Spanish through music, stories, and hands-on activities, creating a nurturing environment for young learners. She finds joy in seeing her students confidently use their Spanish skills, even while traveling to Spanish-speaking countries!
