ROSARIAN ACADEMY TO PARTICIPATE IN SCHOOL-WIDE GLEAN TOMORROW TO PREVENT FOOD WASTE AND HELP FEED THE LOCAL HUNGRY: 04.11.15
WHAT:
The National Junior Honor Society at Rosarian Academy is leading the school community in a large-scale gleaning
effort to provide food for those less fortunate in Palm Beach County. Pre-school through 8th grade students and filies will spend this Saturday morning, April 11th, picking cucumbers that will get delivered to the Palm Beach County Food Bank and then distributed to local agencies and shelters that feed the hungry in our community.
Gleaning is so important because 52 million pounds of produce on farms are wasted every year. Through this meaningful community service project, the students experience the power of making a positive difference in the lives of the needy in our community.
