Fifth-grader leads Rosarian soccer te ÑDiego Hernandez is Rosarian AcademyÕs little big man, the striker and leading scorer on the 4-0 RaidersÕ boys soccer squad. And oh yes, thereÕs this, too: The Raiders varsity te plays against players who are mostly in grades 7 and 8.
But Hernandez, a fifth-grade students, says he feels comfortable, respected and appreciated on the te. After all, he says. ÒIÕve been playing soccer pretty much since I could walk.Ó When heÕs not playing for the Raiders, he plays with the travel te on the Wellington Waves, where heÕs played for five seasons.
