On Wednesday, November 3, representatives from Palm Beach County’s Environmental Resource Management (ERM) dazzled 5th and 6th-grade students with a presentation on sea turtles in the Rosarian theater. Students learned about the endangered species of sea turtles, their habitats, diets, and more. Some of the highlights of the presentation were the Loggerhead and Green Sea Turtle shells on display for the students to see. Seeing pictures of sea turtle nests on their own local beaches and learning about the number of sea turtle nests across the state raised awareness among the students of the importance of caring for these amazing creatures!
