Rosarian Academy alumna Chelsea Surovek, Class of 2010, earned the 2021 Concepts Schools Teacher of the Year Award. According to its website, Concept Schools’ Teacher of the Year nominees are teachers who “inspire students of all backgrounds to learn and play an active and useful role in the community, as well as in the school.” The company recognizes and awards innovative teachers who exemplify an exceptional level of dedication, knowledge and skill, and “are poised, articulate, and possess excellent communication skills.” Mrs. Surovek, commended by Concept Schools for her “passion, knowledge, empathy, and creativity as she taught on-campus, remotely, and in hybrid settings,” was the sole recipient of the award in the Middle School Division.
