• Middle School Social Studies Teacher

    Rosarian Academy seeks a full-time Middle School Social Studies Teacher with demonstrable classroom experience in United States History. He or she has the desire to grow in an innovative professional learning community, is enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and is current with best practices. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the academic and social-emotional needs of middle school students in grades 5-8 and demonstrate the ability to teach students who vary in ability and learning styles.   • Full-Time Montessori Pre-Primary Classroom Assistant

    Rosarian Academy seeks a full-time Montessori Pre-Primary Classroom Assistant.


    Responsibilities Include:
    1. Supporting the Lead Teacher in the development, implementation and assessment of a Montessori Learning Environment for 2 and 3-year-olds.
    2. Working collaboratively and productively with Lead Teacher and other staff members.
    3. Actively participate in professional development, faculty meetings and events.
    4. Supervising children on the playground.
    5. Changing diapers and assisting in toilet training.
    6. Maintaining order and cleanliness of the Learning Environment.
    7. Providing direct instruction and/or remedial help as directed by the Lead Teacher

    Qualifications:
    1. BA/BS degree preferred (but not required).
    2. Experience in a Montessori Learning Environment preferred.
    3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    4. Organized, flexible and team-oriented.
    5. Ability to work effectively with preschool children.
    6. Willingness to learn about Montessori Education and Conscious Discipline.
    7. Must have completed 45-Hour Child Care Training Course as required by DCF or be willing to complete upon hiring.
    8. CPR and First Aid Certified Physical.

    Requirements:
    1. Be able to work in an environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
    2. Be able to repetitively bend and kneel.
    3. Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
    4. Be able to stand and move around for prolonged periods of time

  • Middle School Principal

    Rosarian Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida seeks a Middle School Principal commencing July 1, 2017. The Middle School Principal acts as the education leader in the 5th-8th grade division of the school, responsible for its day-to-day operation.


    Specific responsibilities include:
    1. Maintaining congruency between the school's board-approved mission and all activities of that division.
    2. Observing, supervising and helping evaluate the faculty in the development and implementation of curriculum; to supervise the teaching process and to review and evaluate the academic programs.
    3. Providing an orderly, controlled environment in which learning can take place, a school climate that is supportive of students and teachers.
    4. Being aware of the unique educational, physical, social and psychological needs specific to young adolescents.
    5. A willingness to step in where needed, including teaching assignments.
    6. A good communicator and someone who actively seeks out and supports trusting relationships with parents.
    7. Leading various committees as assigned by the Head of School.
    8. Making recommendations to the Head of School regarding the hiring and retention, and the assignment of faculty.
    9. Conducting regular faculty meetings which deal with both routine school matters as well as the implementation of school initiatives.
    10. Working collaboratively with the administrative team. The Middle School Principal will be a visible presence in all areas of the school.
    11. Actively participating in the development of school schedules, class scheduling and program development; experience with Middle School advisories is beneficial.
    12. Conducting oneself in a Christian manner both in and out of school.
    13. A qualified candidate will have a Master's Degree in Education, content area or other related field. S/he will have at least 3 years of successful educational administration and will complete Level 1 and 2 background screenings and Virtus training. The candidate should have a growth mindset, work collaboratively and be able to listen to a variety of perspectives in order to make informed decisions driven by consensus. Additionally, s/he should be able to understand and support Rosarian's vision, mission and values, understanding the unique nature of a Catholic, Independent school environment.

  • After Care Teachers (Part-Time)

    Rosarian Academy seeks part-time after care teachers to supervise young children 1-2 years old. Candidates must be patient and love working with children. Responsibilities include planning activities and games for the after care participants. Hours are 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm M-F. Candidates must have the state required 40 hours, or begin them right away upon employment.

Candidates must hold a four-year college degree and be available to report to work occasionally and on short notice, be calm and patient, and love working with youth from kindergarten through grade 8. Primary duties include supervising children and assisting regular faculty with a wide variety of student and classroom needs.

    Substitute teachers will be required complete a Level 2 screening (FBI, FDLE and PBSO background records check), and take a 2.5 hour course entitled Protecting God’s Children.
