Rosarian Academy hosted fourth through seventh-grade students and parents for its end-of-the-school-year awards ceremony in the Rosarian Theater on Friday, June 3. Moderated by Linda Trethewey, Head of School, Virginia Devine, Principal, Keller Lanahan, Assistant Principal, and Joy VanDyke, Guidance Counselor, the ceremony began with a passing of the student council gavel from outgoing president, Brady Surovek, and vice president, Mark Albury, to incoming president, Jack Freitas, and Vice President, Max Griffin. Opening remarks from Ms. Devine then recognized students for their achievements in the 2021-2022 school year. The Honor Roll students were:

Winners of the Raider Grit Award for demonstrating the character traits of courage, conscientiousness, perseverance, passion and resilience were Isabella Sprafka, 7th grade, Ava Rodriguez, 6th grade, and Carter Osiecki, 5th grade.

The ceremony concluded by recognizing the recipient of the inaugural Adrian Dominican Legacy Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a student based on merit and need and represents a total value up to $175,000. In keeping with the mission of the Adrian Dominican Sisters, this scholarship places an emphasis on diversity. Ms. Devine was pleased to announce that Orion Vincent is this year’s Adrian Dominican Legacy Scholarship recipient.
