Rosarian Eighth Grader Selected to Receive Scholarship from the Palm Beach Diocesan Council of Catholic Women
Rosarian Academy eighth-grader Kayla Becerra was chosen to represent the Southern Deanery in the Palm Beach Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (PBDCCW) Scholarship Progr. The PBDCCW awarded $1,000 scholarships to three eighth grade girls in the Diocese of Palm Beach who are graduating middle school and planning to attend a Catholic High School in the Diocese of Palm Beach in the fall.
Each applicant completed a lengthy application, including documentation of how she exemplifies leadership qualities in school, parish activities and community service; recommendations from 1.) a teacher, guidance counselor or school principal 2.) parish priest or religious education director 3.) personal friend or community leader; and a short essay outlining her values and goals as a Catholic student and how they have influenced her to continue in a Catholic High School.
