Stephen Hall Wins Rosarian National Geographic GeoBee
Rosarian Academy middle school students participated in the school-level competition of the National Geographic GeoBee on Friday, December 14. Stephen Hall, an eighth-grade student, won first place, with Daniele Mischke, a seventh-grade student, finishing second.
In the school-level Bee, students answered oral questions on geography. Stephen and Daniele made it through seven rounds before the championship round.
Stephen will now take an online qualifying test to compete in the Florida State GeoBee. The winners of the State GeoBees receive an all-expenses-paid trip to National Geographic Society Headquarters in Washington, D.C., next May to participate in the GeoBee Naitonal championship, competing for cash prizes, scholarships and an all-expenses-paid Lindblad expedition to the Galapagos Islands.
Rosarian Academy, founded in 1925, educates students from early childhood through eighth grade and offers an exceptionally strong academic program enriched by athletics, visual and performing arts, and community service opportunities. STEM, coding, art, drama, music theory, and Spanish classes begin in kindergarten.
