Rosarian Academy sixth-grader Emma Chopin reached the finals of the Final Regional Southeastern Scripps Spelling Bee at The Benjamin School on Thursday. The first round included about 125 students from various counties taking a written test. Chopin was one of 21 participants who made it to the final round, which consisted of an oral spelling bee on the stage. Fellow sixth-grader Nicholas Grippi also competed. Chopin won the Rosarian Academy school-level competition and Grippi was the runner-up in January. They also were the two school level finalists in 2018.
