The players on Rosarian Academy’s girls junior varsity soccer team finished their first foray into competitive soccer in successful fashion, going 3-0 and winning their final game against Palm Beach Day Academy recently.
The Raiders team of fifth- through seventh-grade players beat the Bulldogs 3-1. Palm Beach DAy scored the first goal, and Rosarian responded quickly with a goal by Annabelle Walsh. The Raiders then took the lead with a goal by Georgina Keogh on a rebound off a penalty kick. Rosarian’s final goal was scored by Ryleigh Beazley.
This was the first season Rosarian fielded a junior varsity girls team and the squad got strong leadership from captains Juliana Cardenas and Eliza Ashley. Others on the team are Bailey Groth, Satya Hamilton, Risa Hernandez, Ella Ross Lang, Sofia Machado and Grace Molina.
