Community Service
Community service is a core value at Rosarian Academy, deeply integrated into the school’s mission of fostering compassion, integrity, and social responsibility. Through various service projects and initiatives, Rosarian students of all ages can actively engage in giving back to their community. These projects aim to teach students the importance of helping others and making a positive impact on the world around them.
Developing Empathy & Responsibility
Rosarian Academy’s community service program spans a wide range of activities, from local outreach efforts to global initiatives. Students participate in service days, charity fundraisers, and projects designed to address pressing social issues. By working with local organizations and contributing to meaningful causes, students develop a strong sense of empathy and responsibility. Service is not only seen as an extracurricular activity but also as a vital part of the educational experience at Rosarian, helping students grow both intellectually and morally.
We love making a difference. The Rosarian Academy community lives out its faith in service to others. Through our partnership with Fresh Rx, our lower school students learn organic gardening skills and promote caring for the earth, sustainability and service, as the produce helps feed the poor in our community. School-wide service opportunities, open to families and friends, occur periodically throughout the school year and include gleaning crops for local food banks, beach cleanups, and meal prep and delivery to the homeless. In middle school, completing service hours is a part of the Religion curriculum. Through their actions, students realize that their own well-being is strengthened by service to others and the wider community.
Community service is an integral part of a Rosarian student’s education. From preschool to 8th grade, children experience opportunities to work in service of others. Students recognize that every person has the power to make a positive difference.
