Excitement filled Rosarian Academy’s Garvy Gym and Jake Rubin Field Friday, March 11, as Lower School students participated in their annual Field Day competitions. Physical Education teachers Lindsey Beylo Kutner, Cullen Miller, and Jackie Struthwolf organized a fun-filled morning. Divided by team colors, kindergarten through fourth-grade students competed with their grade levels in soccer, messy yard, poly spot round-up, basketball relays, scooter relays, and more. With much excitement, the yellow team won the day after finishing fourth the prior year. Though all students vied for the victory, fun and good sportsmanship were the themes of the day.

As an annual competition, field day has also become a family tradition.  The Palm Beach Daily News shed light on one such tradition as it reported on first-grader Tilly Ward and her sister, eighth-grader Mercer, as they prepared for and participated in the day. While Tilly competed on the yellow team, Mercer joined her National Junior Honor Society peers as a middle school volunteer.
