Rosarian eighth graders break food drive record

The eighth-grade class at Rosarian Academy is 34 students strong for 2013-2014, which is not ong the larger classes in the schoolÕs history.

Each class undertakes traditional projects to benefit their school community and the community at large, and the eighth-gradersÕ special event is the Channel 5 Bill Brooks Food for Filies drive. Because sheÕll be leaving the school next year, class President Waverley Lim said she was determined to make the event memorable and special.

Last yearÕs eighth-graders set a record of 3,000 pounds of donations, so Lim, working with Vice President Leah Steele and Max Gonnella, secretary-treasurer, set out to break the record.
