Rosarian Academy readies 50th anniversary celebration

The Palm Beach Daily News: December 28, 2014

The new year is a time for thinking of the past and looking forward to the future. At Rosarian Academy, students, alumni, faculty and staff are doing a good bit of thinking about the schoolÕs Margaret Tighe Machlin Fine Arts Center.

Thanks to a gift from Frederick Machlin, the Center opened its doors on Dec. 14, 1964. The 485-seat professional theater has been an iconic landmark in Palm Beach County ever since. The school celebrated the 50th anniversary of the theater in mid-December and a larger celebration of the theater lies ahead. The Royal Rosarian Talent Showcase is scheduled for Feb. 28.
