January 30, 2026 — The spirit, tradition, and joy of community were on full display as Rosarian Academy celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony on its newly enhanced field followed immediately by one of the most memorable Field Days in the school’s history.

For more than 40 years, Field Day has been one of the school’s most cherished traditions, beginning with spirited team cheers and ending with a first-place winner. Beloved by students and alumni alike, Field Day remains a touchstone of school pride, with many graduates returning year after year to ask current students the same timeless question: “What team are you on?”

This year’s celebration carried special significance. The entire school community gathered on the field to begin the morning with special remarks about the capital campaign, a blessing of the field by Father Brian, and a ribbon cutting ceremony marking the near completion of the school’s $10 million capital campaign to expand and modernize the campus in honor of its 100th anniversary. The field, now a central gathering space, has been a major component of that transformative effort.

“Athletics are a vital extension of our mission,” said Nick Coleman, Chairman of the Board and Chair of the Capital Campaign. “They teach discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and leadership—values that align directly with the formation of the whole child. An on-campus field allows us to intentionally integrate athletics into daily school life, strengthen community connection, and provide our students with the facilities they deserve.”

Coleman, who is also the parent of two middle school students, celebrated alongside Dani Moore, Rosarian alum and major benefactor, Virginia Devine, Head of School, Father Brian, and Lindsey Beylo, Athletic Director, who together participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony. They were joined by more than 30 additional major donors who attended to support and celebrate the occasion. Their presence underscored the shared commitment and generosity that made the campaign possible.

Following the ceremony, Field Day festivities kicked off with what many called the best team cheers in years. The Blue Team captured the Spirit Award with a crowd-favorite performance inspired by “Tell Me More” from Grease. The Green Team brought high energy with “Life Is a Highway,” while the Pink Team kept spirits soaring with “Surfin’ U.S.A.” by The Beach Boys.

Even a light sprinkle of rain couldn’t dampen the excitement. Students played their hearts out throughout the day, thrilled to welcome back a longtime favorite, Capture the Flag, a game made possible by the expanded field and one that holds a special place in the school’s Field Day tradition.

The ribbon cutting and Field Day celebration reflected the heart of the campaign: creating spaces where students can grow, compete, celebrate, and form lifelong memories, honoring a proud tradition while building for the future.
