Schindler’s List Survivor Rena Finder to Speak at Rosarian Academy: Thursday, December 14

WHAT:
Schindler’s List Survivor Rena Ferber Finder will speak at Rosarian Academy on Tuesday, December 14th at 1:00 pm.

Ms. Finder was a Jewish girl living in Krakow, Poland, when the Germans invaded in 1939. Ms. Finder will speak to Rosarian Academy’s 8th-grade students about life before the war, being relocated to the ghetto, time spent in Auschwitz, and working for German industrialist Oskar Schindler who ultimately saved her.

The speaking engagement was organized for the 8th-grade students who spent two months studying Facing History and Ourselves: Holocaust and Human Behavior in their English class. Teacher Chrissie Ferguson attended a Facing History and Ourselves training in Boston this summer with five other Palm Beach County teachers who have also been invited, along with their students, to hear Ms. Finder speak.
