West Palm Beach, FL — Rosarian Academy is proud to announce that Ms. Virginia Devine, Interim Head of School and a cherished member of the Rosarian community for more than 40 years, was featured in a South Florida Daily news segment highlighting the school’s 100-year legacy: “Rosarian Academy marks 100 years of faith, learning, and leadership.”
When approached about participating in the segment, Ms. Devine initially hesitated. Director of Marketing and Communications Sophie Fountain ’13, herself a former Rosarian student during Ms. Devine’s tenure as principal, assured her that there was simply no one else who could speak more truthfully, lovingly, and accurately about Rosarian’s history and mission. After thoughtful conversation and encouragement from those who know her best, Ms. Devine agreed (to the news segment—though she made it very clear it wasn’t because she was “the only option.”).
What followed was a meaningful and joyful process: a pre-interview discussion, preparation for filming, and a warm visit to the news station, where Ms. Devine and Ms. Fountain were welcomed with a behind-the-scenes tour. Ms. Devine even joked that after seeing the weather studio setup, she might consider a second career.
The segment offers an authentic reflection on Rosarian’s century of faith, academic excellence, and community told by the woman who has lived, shaped, and safeguarded its mission for decades. Throughout her career as teacher, administrator, principal, retiree-turned-returning leader, and now Interim Head of School, Ms. Devine has embodied Rosarian’s foundational values of prayer, study, community, and service. Ask any alum, parent, or former student, and the answer is unanimous: she is the heart of Rosarian, and the perfect voice to honor its 100-year story.
The feature originally aired on WFLX FOX 29 on November 26 at 6:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and again on December 2 at the same times.
