Rosarian student wins GeoBee: Want to know where Eritrea is? Ask Rosarian Academy’s Stephen Hall or Daniele Mischke. Rosarian middle school students participated in the school-level competition of the National Geographic GeoBee in mid-December. Hall, an eighth-grade student, won first place, with Mischke, a seventh-grade student, finishing second.

In the school-level Bee, students answered questions on geography. Hall and Mischke made it through seven rounds before the championship round.

Hall will now take an online qualifying test to compete in the Florida State GeoBee. The winners of the State GeoBees receive an all-expenses-paid trip to National Geographic Society Headquarters in Washington in May to participate in the GeoBee National Championship, competing for cash prizes, scholarships and an all-expenses-paid expedition to the Galapagos Islands.
