Rosarian Sports Teams Blossom In New Year

The Rosarian Academy girls’ soccer team kicked off the home season against Jupiter Christian and promptly gave up a goal in the first minute of play. But after a few moments, the Raiders got into gear and answered with a goal of their own by eighth-grader Parker Ward, who scored on a shot from inside the box.

The Raiders iced the game when Natasha Yedinak tallied on a penalty kick with just a minute left in the first half. The Raiders held their lead and played dominating defense in the second half, winning 2-1.

The boys’ varsity basketball team opened its season with a 32-12 victory over Trinity Christian, behind 12 points by eighth-grade guard Jack Mischke.

The Raiders followed up by scoring 19 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 34-17 victory over Atlantic Christian. Rosarian’s balanced offense was led by MJ Hanlon (8 points), Liam Landers (7) and Cade Randolph(6).

The junior varsity squad put up 28 points to defeat Trinity Christian in its opener. Sixth-graders Jack Beylo, Matthias Bessenroth, Finn Duran, Marcello Fiorentino, Anthony Iuliani, James Molina, Samson Scarolaand Win Ward and fifth-grader F.J. Bahl helped the Raiders soar past the Warriors.

The Raiders followed up with a 20-4 victory over the St. Juliana Shamrocks, but lost a game to Jupiter Christian.
